Cottage Residences on Wandsworth Common — Sales by Auction

Two properties on Wandsworth Common were offered at auction by Winstanley and Son. The first was a very desirable Cottage Residence, elegantly fitted up, with stable, yard, and about an acre of productive kitchen and pleasure-grounds; situated on an extensive common, adjoining to (though screened from) the road between London and Wandsworth, about five miles from the Bridges. The house comprised entrance hall, small library, drawing and dining-rooms, nine bed-rooms and dressing-rooms, bath, water-closets, kitchen, scullery, butler's pantry, and every domestic office, amply supplied with spring and soft water. The tenure was for three lives, renewable.
