"Beating the Bounds in Battersea", The Parish Dial, 7 June 1862, highlighted by PB on the contemporary Stanford's 6-inch Library Map of London 1862. The perambulation proceeds clockwise, in customary fashion, beginning and ending near the parish church of St Mary's.

ADD the late C18 Wandsworth perambulation.

Council? boundaries 1905

What exactly is this boundary? Presumably Council rather than Parliamentary? Notice it now zig-zags to take account of new buildings and gardens etc. But much of it is the same as the old parish boundaries. Notice e.g. Wiseton Rd is divided north and south. Notice "Boundaries" Road.
